How It Works

SolarEdge P400 power optimizers are installed on the back of each module in a PV system. They constantly track the peak output of each module and transmit the collected data to the SolarEdge monitoring platform for maintenance to maximize power harvesting. When combined with a SolarEdge inverter, P400 optimizers maintain the string voltage at a constant level, irrespective of the length of the string. This allows the PV system to mitigate the negative impact when one or more panels are shaded.
It boasts a unique feature, Safe DC, which helps it automatically reduce or completely shut down the DC voltage of the modules when it is disconnected from the inverter or its power switch is turned OFF.

Performance

SolarEdge P400 power optimizer can increase the performance of your system by up to 25 percent. The peak efficiency of the system is 99.5 while the weighted efficiency is 98.8 percent.

Monitoring

SolarEdge P400 power optimizer monitors the performance of a PV array at module-level and communicates the performance metrics to the SolarEdge Monitoring Platform. You can explore each module's past and current state in your array in a web-based view and accurately locate any underperforming module through a visual map.

SolarEdge offers the industry-best warranty of 25 years on P400, like all the other power optimizers they offer.
